If you need more than 5,000 groups, contact support about a custom plan. Check Billing for your applicable price before subscribing. Plans are billed through Shopify every 30 days; yearly billing is not available.
The plan's product-group allowance counts groups across your store. It is separate from Maximum groups per product, which controls how many groups one product can belong to. Changing that setting does not increase your plan allowance.
Start or change a plan
Open Billing in the app.
Select the plan you want.
Review any warning about features or group limits affected by the change.
Review and approve the subscription on Shopify's confirmation page.
Selecting a plan without approving it in Shopify does not activate the subscription.
Paid plans include a 14-day free trial for eligible stores. Changing plans or reinstalling the app does not restart the trial. If you are still within your original trial window, the remaining trial time can apply. Check Shopify's confirmation page for the trial and charge details for your store.
Understand the exploration countdown
On your first installation, a live store gets 72 hours to explore the app before choosing a plan. This is separate from the subscription's 14-day trial.
When exploration ends without a subscription, app features and storefront swatches turn off. Your setup remains saved. Open Billing and approve a plan to continue; any eligible subscription trial starts when you subscribe.
The app is free for Shopify development stores. You can select a plan without a real charge while the store qualifies as a development store. When it moves to a paid Shopify plan, you need to approve a paid app subscription. A live store being redesigned does not automatically qualify as a development store.
What happens when you downgrade
Downgrading keeps your groups, swatches, and settings. If you exceed the new plan's group allowance, existing groups keep working, but you cannot create more until you reduce the total below the limit or upgrade.
Features depend on the new plan. For example, moving to Standard stops automations from running and blocks editing translations, linked groups, and multi-option groups. Existing translations and group relationships remain saved. Review the warning shown before switching for the features you use.
Having several Shopify Markets that all use the same language and wording does not by itself mean you need translations. Choose Advanced or Premium when you need to edit translations or use other features included in those plans.
