Use a multi-option group when separate Shopify products differ by more than one option. For example, each product might have a Color and a Fit, such as Black / Slim or Black / Regular. A group can have up to 3 options.
Creating multi-option groups requires the Advanced or Premium plan.
Add an option to a manual group
Open the group in Product groups.
Select Add option.
Enter the new option name, such as Fit.
Enter a swatch name for each product in every option. For example, a product might have Black for Color and Slim for Fit.
Save the group.
Each option appears as a separate swatch row on the product page. The choices in later rows depend on the selected values in earlier rows.
Adding options does not create additional groups. You can keep Maximum groups per product at 1. See Choosing a group limit.
Combine options with linked groups
You can also add options within linked groups. For example, Core and Seasonal can each have Color and Fit options. See Linking product groups to show those groups together.
