Fix missing colors or changes that haven't appeared

Check whether new variant values need syncing, swatches need assigning, or saved changes are still updating your storefront.

Start by checking where the information is missing: in Color Swatches itself, or only on your storefront. These need different checks.

A new variant option or color is missing from the app

  1. Check that the option and value exist on the product in Shopify and that you saved the product.

  2. Open Variant swatches in Color Swatches.

  3. Select Sync options to refresh the options and values from Shopify.

  4. Allow the sync to finish, then check the option again.

During initial setup, the page may show Loading options from Shopify. This might take some time. If it shows Couldn't load options, select Try again. A larger catalog can take longer to load.

If the same value is still missing after syncing, send support the product URL, option name, and missing value. Include whether other products or newly added values synced successfully. This helps identify an isolated problem without repeating the same sync.

Sync options refreshes variant options. If your colors are separate Shopify products, use product groups to connect them.

The color exists, but appears as text or has no Configure button

  1. Open Variant swatches.

  2. Check the Swatch Style beside the option.

  3. To use solid colors or uploaded images, choose Color or image.

  4. Select Configure, assign a swatch to each value that needs one, then select Save.

Configure is available for Color or image. Pill / Button uses text, and Variant image uses the images assigned to variants in Shopify. See Change swatch colors, images, and patterns.

Syncing a value and assigning its appearance are separate steps. A value can be present in the app without an assigned color.

I saved a change, but the storefront still looks the same

Confirm that you selected Save on the group, color editor, or appearance form you changed. Variant status and style selections save automatically.

Allow a few minutes for saved changes to reach the storefront, especially for larger catalogs. On Product groups, a Groups sync in progress banner indicates that groups are still updating. Refresh the affected page after the update.

Also check that you are viewing the intended theme. A preview theme and your live theme can have different widget installations. Follow Enable swatches in your theme if you changed themes or the entire widget is missing.

For automated groups, check the automation's source data and last run. Follow Troubleshoot an automation that stopped or skipped products if the automation did not apply the expected changes.

If a saved change is still missing after about 10 minutes, send support the affected page URL, what you changed, when you saved it, and any sync message or error. If the app shows Metafields disabled, contact support using that message.

A whole option or some swatches are hidden

Missing display is not always a sync problem. Check the product selection and Hide single value swatches setting in the variant setup guide. For draft, unpublished, or sold-out choices, check stock and visibility settings.
